Crewe drivers face traffic misery on Weston Road once again, with a one-way closure in place until July.

Contractor, OCU Group, is working on the closure (heading towards Crewe Railway Station) on behalf of Scottish Power, until the end of Monday 6 July, with essential network upgrades taking place.

Residents have been told to avoid parking in the work area and follow signed diversion routes.

Emergency access will be maintained where possible.

Vehicles are being diverted via Crewe's University Way and Crewe Green Road.

OCU Group said the scheme is needed to complete critical electrical infrastructure work on behalf of SP Energy Networks.

The company has apologised for any inconvenience and asked residents to cooperate with the temporary restrictions.
