The Belong Crewe care village is celebrating being named a finalist in two categories at the national Palliative and End of Life Care Awards 2026.

The state-of-the-art care village on Brookhouse Drive has been shortlisted for The Innovation in End of Life Social Care Award, with the village's Duke Household team named a finalist in the Palliative Care Team Award.

This double recognition solidifies Belong Crewe's status as a leader in end-of-life care.

The village remains one of the few care providers in Cheshire to hold both an 'Outstanding' rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the prestigious Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Platinum status, the highest possible accreditation for end-of-life care provision.

General manager at Belong Crewe, Caroline Anthony, told Nub News: "To be named as national finalists in two separate categories is an incredible achievement and a testament to the hard work, care and clinical excellence shown by our teams each day.

"The Duke Household team provides a true masterclass in what cohesive, compassionate care looks like, making sure families feel well supported during life's most difficult moments.

"Combined with our group-wide commitment to innovation, we are incredibly proud that our team's dedication is being spotlighted on a national stage."

Organised by Care Talk magazine, the Palliative and End of Life Care Awards celebrate excellence across the social care sector, shining a light on the individuals and teams who go above and beyond to preserve dignity and improve quality of life for those with life-limiting conditions.

Belong supports older people through its modern care village model, offering specialist dementia care, 24-hour nursing support, and independent living apartments, all centered around a vibrant village hub that is open to the public.

The Belong Crewe teams will find out if they have won the top prizes at a glittering gala awards ceremony at the Hilton Bankside in London on Thursday 2 July.
