Traffic chaos after vehicles collide under Crewe railway bridge

Motorists in Crewe reported traffic chaos on Saturday evening, following a collision on a major road under a railway bridge in the town.

On 8 March, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident on the B5076 Middlewich Street, under Cumberland Bridge.

Around 5.40pm, officers arrived at the scene, discovering a brown Citroen C4 and a black Kia Ceed had collided with one another.

No one was injured in the collision, with no arrests made.

The section of Middlewich Street was cleared and reopened around one hour later.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 5.40pm on Saturday 8 March, police were called to reports of a collision on Middlewich Street.

"Officers attended and found there had been a minor collision between a brown citroen C4 and a black Kia Ceed.

The section of Middlewich Street was cleared and reopened around one hour later (Cheshire Police).

"There were no reports of any injuries and the scene was cleared by 6.40pm."
