Traditional Crewe pub closes just 11 days after reopening

A traditional Crewe pub, dating back to 1867, has closed again, just 11 days after reopening under a new landlord.
The Delamere Arms, known as 'The Blazer,' Underwood Lane, officially reopened its doors on Monday 28 July, under the experienced ownership of Peter Forester, from Cardiff.
This new management lasted just 11 days, with the "devastated" landlord having to close the venue on Friday 8 August due to "technical difficulties."

On August 1, Mr Forester told Nub News he had previously ran four other pubs and two nightclubs, specialising in venues that were broken or have been closed.
Under his ownership, The Delamere Arms planned to host daily events at the two-room venue, including darts, quizzes, live entertainment, bingo, board games and live sport, but this never came to fruition.
Recruitment agency, Hospitality Recruit has since been tasked with finding a new "local operator" for the 19th-century pub.
On August 8, The Blazer said: "Sorry guys we won’t be opening today as we are having some technical difficulties.
"Please accept my apologies, I will keep you posted if things change.
"I can’t do anymore currently and I’m devastated to be in this position. I will keep you posted. I will update when I know more."

There has been no movement at the pub since this post.
Crewe Nub News will keep local residents updated on whether the Blazer reopens again.
