Car driver in hospital with 'serious injuries' following collision with HGV

A car driver is in hospital with "serious injuries" after being involved in a collision with a HGV in South Cheshire.

On Friday 2 February, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident on the A51 Nantwich Bypass.

At around 2:12pm, officers arrived at the scene, discovering a White Toyota Chaser had collided with a HGV.

A white Toyota Chaser collided with a HGV, with the Toyota driver in hospital with serious injuries (Cheshire Police).

The driver of the Toyota sustained serious injuries and was taken to Leighton Hospital.

These injuries are not believed to be life changing or life threatening.

Enquiries are ongoing, with officers appealing for any witnesses or those with footage to come forward.

Sergeant Russell Sime said: "This incident occurred at time of day when many people will have been out and about.

"We are asking anyone who witnessed what happened to get in touch with us.
