TikTok sensation to give away hundreds of jacket potatoes in Crewe
By Ryan Parker 16th Feb 2026
Viral TikTok star 'Spudman' will give away hundreds of free jacket potato meals in Crewe on Saturday 28 February, as part of a new partnership with London Northwestern Railway (LNR).
Ben Newman, known to his online following as Spudman, rose to fame after uploading interactions with customers queuing for loaded spuds at his van in Tamworth, Staffordshire.
Now he's partnering with LNR to celebrate the launch of a brand-new train fleet on the Trent Valley Line by offering hundreds of free meals from his van in Crewe Town Square between 10am and 3pm.
The collaboration with LNR follows the introduction of a brand-new fleet of trains, known as the Class 730s, to the popular Trent Valley railway route which connects destinations in Cheshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Buckinghamshire with London.
The month-long partnership will see Spudman give away 730 loaded spuds across three locations along the Trent Valley Line – Milton Keynes, Crewe and Tamworth.

For those who miss out on the free offer, Spudman will also be serving up a limited-edition LNR-green meal featuring a pesto chicken topping, with a percentage of the profits going to charity.
Commercial director at LNR, David Watkin, said: "Tamworth station is at the heart of the Trent Valley Line, so partnering with the town's most famous internet star felt like a natural fit to help introduce our new fleet.
"We're thrilled to be bringing Spudman to Milton Keynes and Crewe for the first time, giving local communities a chance to try one of his legendary creations."
With 730 free spuds up for grabs, fans are encouraged to sign up online to receive their voucher before they run out. Terms and conditions apply. Visit HERE to sign up.
Spudman said: "I feel very lucky to have followers who are willing to travel such long distances to visit me, so working with a train operator which is introducing brand-new trains and making it even easier for them as a result makes perfect sense.
"I can't wait to visit Milton Keynes, Crewe and then back to where it all started in Tamworth."
For those redeeming their free spud, print the email or show your code on your phone to the team on the day.
