Man, 43, with knife and knuckle duster jailed for beating woman in Crewe

A Crewe man who pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating, after being caught on CCTV attacking the victim, has been jailed.

Damian Wisedale, 43, of Edleston Road, appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on Monday 2 June, where he was sentenced to 26 weeks behind bars.

The Crewe man also pleaded guilty to possession of a knife and knuckle duster, following the incident on Friday 30 May.

That late afternoon, Cheshire Police received reports of a male attacking a female on Edleston Road.

Damian Wisedale pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating, after being caught on CCTV attacking the victim on Friday 30 May (Cheshire Police).

At 5.42pm, officers made to the location, with Wisedale residing on the Crewe South street, located and arrested.

Wisedale was charged with assault by beating, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a knife.
