Arrest after man dangerously riding E-scooter in Crewe crashes into police car

A local man has been arrested after dangerously riding an E-scooter in Crewe town centre, narrowly missing pedestrians, before crashing into a police car.
On Monday 2 June, Cheshire Police received reports of a male on an E-scooter riding on pavements and weaving in and out of pedestrians in Crewe town centre.
Around 10pm, police sighted the motorised vehicle and followed, with the male continuing to ride recklessly before going into the back of the emergency vehicle on Market Street.
The 22-year-old made off on foot, with officers soon locating and arrested him on suspicion of dangerous driving.

Police seized the E-scooter, with enquiries into the incident ongoing. The man will report to officers on Tuesday 1 July.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At 10pm on Monday 2 June, a police car was involved in a minor collision with a scooter on Market Street, Crewe.
"Following the collision the rider of the bike fled the scene on foot.
"A 22-year-old local man has since been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving in relation to the incident.
"He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries. The man is set to report to officers on 1 July."
