Teenage motorcyclist rushed to hospital following serious collision in Crewe
A teenage motorcyclist was rushed to hospital with a 'suspected leg fracture' - following a serious collision with a car in Crewe.
The incident on Sydney Road, involving a Yamaha motorcycle and a Mercedes C200, happened at 6:27pm on Monday 10 April.
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene - with Cheshire Police officers closing a section of Sydney Road by the bridge.
The driver of the Yamaha, a 19-year-old man, was taken to hospital with suspected leg fractures and is receiving further treatment.
Both vehicles involved suffered 'considerable damage' with motorbike fuel leaking on to the road.
The driver of the Mercedes received no injuries. No one was arrested for the incident.
On Wednesday 12 April, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.
A spokesperson said: "At 6.27pm on Monday 10 April, officers received reports of a road traffic collision in Crewe.
"Officers quickly attended the scene on Sydney Road and closed off the road.
"Further investigation of the scene found that a man, riding a Yamaha motorcycle collided with car, a Mercedes C200.
"Considerable damage to both vehicles was caused, with the motorbike leaking fuel on to the road.
"The driver of the bike, a 19-year-old man, was taken to hospital with suspected leg fractures and is receiving further treatment.
"The driver of the Mercedes received no injuries."
