A growing takeaway chain has put forward plans to open in Crewe town centre, taking on the former PIP Consultation Centre.

This November, applicant, Mr Vinayak Abbott, of Flame & Ice, applied for a change of use from Class E to a hot food takeaway at 26 Market Street.

The applicant also submitted plans for a new extraction flue and fan unit, as well as alterations to the shop front and new signage.

Flame & Ice targets to launch in Crewe in 2026, one of several new eateries planning to open in the town centre.

The former Costa Coffee unit is set to become a new food outlet in the new year. The old Topshop building is also approved for Smash-on-Trent.
