A large former coffee chain unit in Crewe town centre is under offer, with the hope a new occupier can be finalised soon.
Costa Coffee, Market Street, closed its doors for good on Sunday 18 February, following a decision made by the franchise owner.
All staff from the store were redeployed to other local sites, including Dorothy Flude Retail Park and Jack Mills Way.
This August, property consultants, Kenney Moore, confirmed the building was under offer for a potential new shop.
The Market Street unit has been listed for rent at £27,500 per annum. It has also been listed for freehold at offers over £275,000.
A Kenney Moore description of the property reads: "The extensive full height shopfront with central doors leads to a substantial property, offering a clear ground floor sales area with decent ceiling height, having previously been fitted by Costa Coffee.
"At the rear are two WCs, with storerooms behind, leading to rear loading onto the back street.
"There is a small rear basement and additional storage and staff facilities at first and second floors.
"The property is to let on a new FRI (full repairing and insuring) lease for a term to be agreed with rent reviews at five yearly intervals.
"Alternatively the owners may consider freehold offers."
