THE Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire David Briggs was among the dignitaries at a VJ Day celebration in Crewe's Queens Park.

The South Cheshire Pipe Band led a procession, which included Crewe Town Mayor Cllr Tom Dunlop, the Revd Father. John Xavier Leal SSC and representatives from Crewe Royal British Legion to host a Victory in Japan Remembrance Service within Burma Star Island.

Local photographer Peter Robinson was in Queens Park for the event on Sunday and took some fantastic photographs, which he has allowed Nub News to share.
