Popular eatery, The White Lion Weston, has welcomed a new chef ahead of the festive season – Stephen Rabinowitz, who joins as senior sous chef, supporting long-standing head chef, Conor Keddie. 

Conor and Stephen go way back, having worked together on and off since 2013 when they met early in their career working at The Refinery, in Spinngingfields (Manchester). 

With a combined 25 years plus in cheffing, Stephen has been brought in by owner, Carl Boulton, to ensure consistency in its food offering on the days Conor isn't there in line with its promise to offer customer's high-quality food at every visit. 

Located on Main Road, The White Lion Weston still has limited availability for key dates in the coming weeks, with space remaining on Boxing Day and New Years' Eve (Ryan Parker).

This latest news comes hot on the heels of the announcement of a new general, Daz Hawley, who joined the pub earlier this month to bring a renewed focus on the entire customer experience. 

Owner, Carl Boulton, said: "We are absolutely delighted to have Stephen in place.

"Both he and Conor have the same meticulous attention to detail, passion for good food and creativity to work with ingredients of all kinds to develop delicious dishes. 

"Stephen brings our permanent kitchen team to seven, meaning we no longer need to rely on agency staff and can offer consistent, high-quality food every day of the week. 

"Together, along with Daz as general manager, we now have the right people in place to ensure our customer's experience is a good one from the minute they step through the door, to the second they leave – this feels like a truly exciting time for The White Lion." 

Head chef Conor, who joined the pub in 2022, said: "Stephen brings a wealth of experience to the kitchen, and I know first-hand the quality and care that he brings to each and every dish he creates.

The White Lion Weston recently announced the addition of Darren Hawley as its general manager (The White Lion Weston).

"We both love food and have loved curating the festive menu currently on offer, we make a good team."
