The White Lion Weston has announced the addition of Darren Hawley as its general manager. 

Darren joins the Main Road restaurant and bar following a five-year stint at the highly-regarded Bears Paw in Warmingham, where he joined as assistant deputy general manager and went on to become general manager. 

As the new face of The White Lion, Darren will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations, on behalf of owner Carl Boulton, and bringing a renewed sense of focus on outstanding customer service to compliment the quality food the eatery has become known for.

Darren Hawley joins The White Lion Weston after five-year stint at The Bears Paw in Warmingham, where he joined as assistant deputy general manager, going on to become general manager (Ryan Parker).

As a priority, Darren is implementing a new front-of-house team to ensure the "highest level of service for all guests", knowing the whole experience is as important as the food itself. 

Darren, who goes by 'Daz,' told Nub News: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining The White Lion team, I love a new challenge and can see instantly this pub has all the components to become a real destination in Cheshire.

"It is now just about piecing that together and ensuring the customer's experience is top notch from start to finish whether they are eating, sleeping or meeting here for an event."

The White Lion Weston has a whole host of festive events on in the coming weeks, including Brunch with Santa and a festive quiz.

Owner of The White Carl Boulton added: "Daz brings a wealth of experience to The White Lion that is going to be key to unlocking the true potential of what we have here.
