Crewe's Cheshire College – South & West has celebrated a hugely successful start to the academic year, welcoming a record-breaking number of attendees to its first Open Evening on Tuesday 7 October.

The event took place simultaneously across the college's Crewe, Ellesmere Port, and Chester campuses, marking the highest ever number of visitors.

With over a 30 per cent increase in attendance compared to 2024's first Open Evening, thousands of prospective students, parents, and members of the local community experienced what makes Cheshire College one of the region's leading further education providers.

"We were absolutely thrilled to see such a strong turnout across all three campuses," said Principal and CEO, Jasbir Dhesi OBE.

"It was fantastic to see so many young people and their families exploring what their future could look like with us."

From interactive workshops to live demonstrations and tours of cutting-edge facilities, guests got an exclusive look at over 300 course options, including A Levels, T Levels, apprenticeships, higher education, adult learning, and vocational programmes, all designed to equip students with the skills and confidence for a successful future.

Visitors at the Crewe campus were also among the first to step inside the College's brand-new Institute of Technology (IoT) building, a landmark investment in advanced technical education across Cheshire and Warrington.

The IoT offers industry-standard facilities and dedicated spaces for innovation and higher-level technical training in engineering, developed in partnership with leading employers.
