Crewe Lyceum has announced the popular professional quizzer, TV presenter on The Chase and general knowledge ace, Jenny Ryan will join the cast of this year's family pantomime, Beauty and the Beast.

Running from 13 December 2024 to 5 January 2025, Jenny will play 'The Enchantress' in the Crewe venue's Christmas production.

In 2015, Jenny joined the hallowed team of Chasers on ITV's award-winning teatime hit The Chase, now in its fifteenth series and hasn't looked back.

Jenny Ryan will play 'The Enchantress' in Crewe Lyceum Theatre's Beauty and the Beast (Crewe Lyceum).

Nicknamed 'The Vixen' and 'The Bolton Brainiac' by host Bradley Walsh, she intimidates millions over their oven chips on a daily basis.

Jenny can also be seen as The Vixen in the hugely successful prime time spin-off series Beat the Chasers for ITV1.

She has been a regular guest on BBC Radio 5 Live's Fighting Talk and Channel 4's Steph's Packed Lunch, also appearing on numerous other favourites including Would I Lie to You?, Celebrity MasterChef, Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, Blankety Blank and Celebrity Catchphrase.

Jenny is also a talented singer and musician. In 2019, she showed off her vocal ability as she made it to the final of The X Factor: Celebrity.

The Chase star said: "I am thrilled to be doing panto at the Lyceum this Christmas.

Nicknamed 'The Vixen,' Jenny Ryan will be starring in Beauty and the Beast at Crewe Lyceum Theatre later this year (Ryan Parker).

"It will be my first time in Crewe but I have heard from friends how lovely the theatre is and I can't wait to start casting some magic there in December."

Jenny joins the previously announced Crewe favourites Malcolm Lord and Ste Johnson in Beauty and the Beast which will also feature local youngsters selected by open audition this summer, and additional casting to be announced.

Beauty and the Beast is presented by the award winning Imagine Theatre.

Lyceum Theatre Director, Graham McKnight said: "We are so excited to have Jenny with us here in Crewe to star in Cheshire's favourite family pantomime.

Running from 13 December 2024 to 5 January 2025, Beauty and the Beast will star Jenny Ryan, Ste Johnson and Malcolm Lord, with additional casting to be announced (Crewe Lyceum).

"As well as being a familiar face to us all from her many television appearances, Jenny is a phenomenal on-stage talent that will give our audiences an unforgettable panto experience for this year's production of Beauty and the Beast.

"We look forward to welcoming her to the iconic Lyceum Theatre in December."
