By Ryan Parker 20th Aug 2026
GCSE Results Day 2026 is here, with Crewe Nub News providing a live feed from the town's schools.
Throughout the day, we will be celebrating the achievements of young people from schools across Crewe.
Crewe UTC Engineering & Design UTC

Students at Crewe Engineering and Design UTC, part of The Learning Partnership, are celebrating another year of fantastic GCSE results.
Students have received top marks for their GCSE courses, in particular in their Engineering and Design specialisms.
These results have helped them secure a range of fantastic destinations in the UTC's own sixth form, other local providers and direct into industry apprenticeships.
Principal of Crewe UTC, Will Chitty, told Nub News: "The outcomes the students have achieved reflect the hard work and dedication of both the young people and the teachers.
"In particular we are pleased to see that all of our students have secured an ambitious destination."
T Level Sixth Form Student, Abi Spanswick, said: "The environment is so much better at Crewe UTC, and I enjoyed every subject much more.
"I would say don't make the move unless you feel comfortable, but moving to Crewe UTC was a decision I'm proud of, and I'm really glad I made the change."
"I'm particularly looking forward to the Employer Set Projects (ESPs) as I progress onto my T Level because they help me feel more connected to industry and give me valuable real-world experience."
Navy Apprenticeship Fast Track Student, Charlie Peace, said: "I feel that being at Crewe UTC has helped me secure my apprenticeship thanks to the support and encouragement I've received from staff throughout my time here."
"My advice would be to try your best and revise hard. It's worth it. I'm grateful for my time at Crewe UTC and would like to thank all of the staff for their support. Everyone has been fantastic."

"We are proud of all our pupils who achieved grades 7-9, which is a tremendous accolade. Lots of individual stories of success, no matter the grade that was received.
"I am proud of each child, their grit and determination their faith in their abilities and the trust in their staff, their support from their families and their resilience to keep trying.
"Our colleagues at the college and sixth form providers are blessed to have our pupils continuing their journeys with you.
"We wish our young people our love and prayers to continue your journey to achieve your goals and dreams. Remember everything that StThomas More has taught you and go and be brilliant citizens of our communities."

These include pupils: Charlie S, Sophie L, Joshua S, Marwa K, Grzegorz D, Zofia K, Emilia K, Victoria W, Nikita P, Zara R who all achieved Grade 9s or equivalent.
Headteacher, Mr Kingdom, said: "I would like to congratulate all of our pupils on their achievements today.
"The results are a reflection of the hard work, resilience and determination they have shown throughout their studies. We are proud of every pupil and the progress they have made during their time at The Oaks Academy.
"These outcomes represent the efforts of not only our pupils, but also our dedicated staff and supportive families, whose encouragement has helped our young people reach this important milestone.
"As our pupils move on to A Levels, vocational pathways, apprenticeships and further education, we wish them every success for the future. They should be incredibly proud of all they have achieved."
Shavington Academy

Pupils at Shavington Academy are celebrating today after receiving their GCSE results, marking an important milestone in their academic journey and the beginning of exciting next steps in further education, training and employment.
Staff across the Academy are immensely proud of every pupil and their individual achievements.
Particular congratulations go to Jacob L, Lily G, Holly C, Caleb E, Leyla N, Jackson D, Mia M, Ollie M, Dareen M and Felicity R, who each secured grades 9–7 in at least seven GCSE subjects.

"Every result represents a personal story of effort, determination and growth, and we could not be more proud of our young people who have shown such ambition, resilience and self-belief throughout their GCSE journey.
"This cohort has faced challenges, embraced opportunities and continued to strive for excellence.
"Their results reflect not only academic success, but also the character that will carry them far beyond the classroom: kindness, courage, adaptability and the confidence to keep aiming high.
"They leave us with our very best wishes and with the knowledge that they have made Shavington Academy incredibly proud.
"GCSE results are an important milestone, but they are only one part of each pupil's story. What matters most is the person behind the grades: their dreams, their talents, their values and their potential.
