Friday - Angel of Harlem @ The Arena

After a mesmerising performance supporting QE2, fronted by Diane Wye, with a collection of top musicians Angel of Harlem will perform a catalogue of hits and lesser known tracks from U2.

Opening the show will be ‘The Entertainment,' bringing a collection of covers including the likes of Coldplay, Fleetwood Mac, Snow Patrol and more.

Tickets are just £5 on the door at the High Street venue.

Saturday - Crewe VE Day 80 Celebration Event @ Lyceum Square

A Crewe VE Day 80 Celebration Event is taking place in Lyceum Square on Saturday 10 May (Crewe Town Council).

A Crewe VE Day 80 Celebration Event is taking place in Lyceum Square on Saturday 10 May.

Come down for a drop-in 'street party' event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) Day!

Running from 11am to 3pm, enjoy vintage music, live performances from local singer Faye MacCallum, of-the-period dance displays and other VE Day 80 themed entertainment.

Bring your own picnic or pop in to Crewe Market Hall for a wide variety of food and drink.

Local groups who support and represent Armed Forces groups (such as the Crewe branch of the Royal British Legion) will also be in attendance.

Families and people of all ages are welcome to come along and take part in the activities as we commemorate this special day.

Hill Street will be closed between 10am and 4pm while the VE Day 80 celebration event takes place.

Let the world’s leading Rock ’n‘ Roll show take you on a journey through the years, as together you celebrate the most iconic moments in comedy, rock ’n’ roll and pop culture from the 50s, right the way through to the 80s.

Combining uproarious comedy sketches and impersonations with breathtaking vocals and dazzling musicianship, That’ll Be The Day truly is in a league of its own.

Join Trevor and the stellar cast for the ultimate feel-good experience that will have you singing and dancing, and leave you wanting just a little bit more.
