Man, 42, arrested on suspicion of assault following 'altercation' in Crewe town centre

A man has been arrested on suspicion of common assault, following an altercation at a Crewe town centre supermarket.
On Tuesday 6 May, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident at Asda, Victoria Centre.
Around 8pm, officers arrived at the scene, discovering a person had been assaulted.
A 42-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has since been released on bail.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 8pm on Tuesday 6 May, police were called to reports of an altercation at the Victoria Centre, Crewe.
"Officers attended and a 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 39 assault.
"The man has since been released on bail until Thursday 12 June."
