Roadworks have recommenced at a major junction in Crewe with CCTV, two months after the project was postponed due to motorists ignoring signs.
Cadent Gas resumed works on the A534 Crewe Road, Brookland Avenue and Rope Lane, Wells Green, on Monday 18 March.
Two-way traffic lights have been installed on Crewe Road, with no access to Brookland Avenue and Rope Lane from the junction.
The gas maintenance and repair works are currently targeted to be completed by Wednesday 27 March.
These works were originally due to take place in January, but postponed due to some vehicles ignoring Cadent Gas' signage and barriers.
Following the previous issues, Cadent Gas has rethought the works, with more barriers and signage fitted this time around.
CCTV has also been installed at the junction, aiming to deter motorists from ignoring the signs.
The gas works have already caused traffic disruption at peak times in the local area, with vehicles finding alternate routes.
If you smell gas past the area of the emergency Crewe maintenance works, call: (0800 111 999).
