A popular Crewe venue has been voted 'Beard Friendly Pub of the Year' 2024 in an annual poll.
Tom's Tap & Brewhouse, Thomas Street, was awarded by the informal network of beard wearers, The Beard Liberation Front (BLF), this January.
The final vote for the Beard Friendly Pub of the Year saw over 500 votes and competition bristled.
Tom's Tap and Brewhouse didn't even exist during the first Beard Friendly Pub of the Year vote.
Winning this award reflects the growth of community-focused pubs that welcome a diverse clientele and offer quality beer.
Bar manager at Tom's Tap and Brewhouse, Jacqui Ayling, said: "We take great care to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels safe."
Tom's Tap further solidified its reputation by receiving three beer festival awards in 2023.
These awards included Dark Mild, where it was joint winner at the Chester and South Clwyd Beer Festival, Ey Up Treacle (a collaboration with Blackjack Brewery) at the Chorlton Beer Festival and Millionaire's Shortbread at the Salford Beer Festival.
These accolades underscore Tom's Tap's commitment to delivering exceptional beer experiences and contributing to the vibrant beer culture.
The Crewe venue aims to provide a warm welcome in the taproom to the bearded and beardless.
Tom's Tap is open 4pm to 10pm (Thursday to Saturday) and 3pm to 8pm Sunday.
