Police rush to West End street following reports of man armed with weapon

Cheshire Police officers rushed to a West End street following reports a man was armed with a weapon - and had entered an address.

The incident on Darlington Avenue, happened at around 1:40pm on Wednesday 12 April.

Police were called to reports a man was potentially armed with a weapon and had entered an address on the West End street.

Local officers were supported by firearms officers in attending the scene and searching the Darlington Avenue address (Google).

Police were unable to find any weapons and left and scene.

On Wednesday 12 April, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.

"At around 1.40pm today, Wednesday 12 April, police were called to reports that a man, possible armed with a weapon had entered an address on Darlington Avenue, Crewe. 

"Local officers, supported by firearms officers, attended the scene and searched the address.

Police were unable to find any weapons and left the scene (Cheshire Police).

"There was no trace of any weapons."
