Crewe Police have warned young people and their parents after staff and customers at Taco Bell in Crewe town centre were subjected to anti-social behaviour.

On 19 October, the Crewe South Beat Team were on foot patrol when officers were diverted to the Phoenix Leisure Park restaurant, off Dunwoody Way, following reports of disruption inside the premises.

In a statement, Crewe Police said staff and customers had experienced shouting and screaming, youths running around the restaurant, and people entering and misusing the toilets.

Officers also reported drinks had been deliberately spilled on the floor.

Describing the behaviour as "unacceptable", the force said the incidents were disruptive and intimidating for other customers trying to enjoy their visit.

Crewe Police issued a direct message to parents and guardians, urging them to consider where their children are and what they are doing when out in the town centre.

The statement warned young people identified as being involved, could face robust action.

Crewe Police said: "The town centre should be a welcoming place for everyone.
