Police investigating after Ford Focus torched in Crewe arson attack
Cheshire Police are investigating after a Ford Focus was torched in a suspected Crewe South arson attack, taking place over the weekend.
On Saturday 2 November, emergency services received reports of an incident on Fanshawe Walk.
At around 8.50pm, a fire crew from Audlem arrived at the scene, discovering a blue Ford Focus had been set on fire.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames, with the vehicle severely damaged.
Due to the suspected deliberate nature of the incident, Cheshire Police were called to the scene.
Enquires into the car blaze are ongoing, with officers asking any witnesses to come forward.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "Shortly after 9.10pm on Saturday 2 November, officers were called to reports of a vehicle fire on Fanshawe Walk.
"Officers swiftly attended the scene, along with colleagues from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, and found a blue Ford Focus had been set alight. The fire was quickly extinguished.
"The fire is believed to be started deliberately and enquiries are currently ongoing.
"Anyone with any information which may assist the investigation is asked to contact Cheshire Police via the website, or call 101 quoting IML 1954466.
