Police find car abandoned following Boxing Day crash on flooded road

Cheshire Police officers rushed to a crash near Crewe - finding a car abandoned after it had lost control on a flooded road.

The incident on Eastern Road, Willaston, happened at approximately 1:56am on Boxing Day.

A white BMW X1 crashed into a tree - causing severe damage to the front of the vehicle.

Cheshire Police attended and discovered a white BMW X1 had collided with a tree (Cheshire Constabulary).

The BMW lost control when driving over the flooded road.

Cheshire Police quickly arrived at the scene to find the vehicle abandoned.

There were no injuries sustained during the incident.

Today (January 3), Cheshire Constabulary confirmed the incident to Nub News.

A spokesperson said: "At 1.56am on 26 December, police were called to a collision on Eastern Road, Willaston.

"Police attended and found white BMW X1 had collided with a tree.

The BMW X1 had lost control when driving over flood water on Eastern Road (Google).

"The occupants of the vehicle had left the scene and there were no reports of any injuries."
