Police called to two-car smash close to Crewe supermarket

Cheshire Police were called to a two-vehicle crash on a busy road in Crewe, with no injuries reported.

On Friday 6 February, officers were alerted to an incident on University Road, close to Aldi.

At 4.07pm, police arrived at the scene, discovering a collision between a Toyota and a Volvo.

Both vehicles sustained serious damage, however the occupants of both vehicles were unscathed.

No arrests were made in the incident, with University Way cleared by 5.15pm.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 4.07pm on Friday 6 February, police were called to a collision on University Way, Crewe.

"Officers attended and found there had been a collision between two cars.

"There were no reports of any injuries and the scene was cleared by 5.15pm."

I find this a very busy road these days and vehicles obviously taking no notice of the road limits set out.
I'm not saying for one minute this contributed to the accident,
I usually when in situations turning out of a side road,(I'm not saying this is what happened here) but I find it much safer to turn left and go with the flow of traffic rather than cross the centre resivation to go right if that's the way you are traveling to your destination.
Once safe to do so turn right into a side road return to the main road and turn left, it's much safer just travelling a little bit further and less stressful.
Hopefully no one was seriously hurt apart from their pride,
Don't forget cars cars can be repaired humans sometimes cannot.👍
