Happily, to get home from that Aldi we turn left, but there's always a long queue waiting to turn right and traffic coming of THE BIG ROUNDABOUT seem to be travelling very fast. Finding a gap to go left isn't too much of a problem but trying to turn right definitely is. Maybe ban right turns and make everyone turn left is the answer.

if you are coming out of Aldi and trying to turn right, the traffic coming from your left is actually in a 40mph zone until it reaches the junction, which might be confusing to those without less than decent eyesight. But looking at the photo, it was traffic from the right.

If the speed limit on University WAY was dropped to 30mph and David Whitby Way reduced once the school opens it could cause satnavs to route through traffic via Nantwich Road as the time difference for the longer bypass would be reduced.

Anyway, the numbers I want to see are ages not speeds. In the meantime, have a look at sandbach.nub.news

Hope everyone is ok. Unfortunately accidents in this area are becoming increasingly likely. Some drivers seem to use the roundabout as some sort of speedway, carrying far too much speed into the junctions. The 30 limit just gets ignored and all to often paired with aggressive driving behaviour, I’m not suggesting that was the case in this instance but I’m seeing it daily.

I find this a very busy road these days and vehicles obviously taking no notice of the road limits set out.
I'm not saying for one minute this contributed to the accident,
I usually when in situations turning out of a side road,(I'm not saying this is what happened here) but I find it much safer to turn left and go with the flow of traffic rather than cross the centre resivation to go right if that's the way you are traveling to your destination.
Once safe to do so turn right into a side road return to the main road and turn left, it's much safer just travelling a little bit further and less stressful.
Hopefully no one was seriously hurt apart from their pride,
Don't forget cars cars can be repaired humans sometimes cannot.👍
