Cheshire Police are appealing for information after two "unknown" men broke into a Crewe town centre shop in the middle of the night, stealing a number of electrical goods.

On Tuesday 21 May, officers received reports of a robbery at CEX, Queensway.

At 2:05am, officers arrived at the scene, discovering two men had entered the shop by forcing open a shutter and smashing an internal door.

Police searched the area for the thieves, believed to have fled on a motorbike, but were unsuccessful.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 2:05am today (Tuesday 21 May), officers responded to reports of a robbery at a commercial property in Crewe.

"Attending the scene on Queensway, officers found that two unknown men had accessed the property by forcing open a shutter and smashing an internal door.

"Once inside, the men proceeded to steal a number of electrical goods, before making off from the area.

"Officers conducted a search of the area, but the men were not located.

The two men stole a number of electrical good, with Cheshire Police appealing to the public for help (Cheshire Police).

"Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and anyone with any information or CCTV and dashcam footage which may aid their investigation is asked to contact Cheshire Police quoting IML-1828704 via the Cheshire Police website or call 101.

"Information can be passed on to Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 or via the Crimestoppers website."

CEX is usually open in Crewe from 9am to 5:30pm (Monday to Saturday) and 10am to 5pm (Sunday).
