Five released as Crewe Alex offer new deals to attacking trio

The attacking trio of Elliot Nevitt, Christopher Long and Courtney Baker-Richardson have all been offered new contracts for 2024/25 (Crewe Alex).

Charlie Kirk is among five players being released from Crewe Alex FC this summer, after the club announced their 2024 Retained List.

The 2020 promotion winner joins Charlie Colkett, Billy Sass-Davies, Zak Kempster-Down and Max Woodcock in departing Mornflake Stadium.

Aaron Rowe, Josh Austerfield, Lewis Leigh, Ed Turns and Harvey Davies have also left the club following the end of their loan deals.

Goalkeeper, Max Stryjek, who helped Crewe defeat Doncaster Rovers on penalties in the play-off semi finals, has also left the club.

Top scorer, Elliott Nevitt, and club captain, Luke Offord, have been offered new contracts to keep them in South Cheshire next season.

Rio Adebisi, Courtney Baker-Richardson and Christopher Long have also been offered deals, in hope much of Crewe's 2023/24 play-off final team can be retained.

Crewe have triggered a clause for an extension in defender Zac Williams' contract, with his future now secured.

Scholars for the club, Nathan Robinson and Lucas Sant, have both been offered their first professional contracts.

Club captain Luke Offord and defender, Rio Adebisi have both been offered new deals, with Zak Williams having a clause triggered for an extension (Ryan Parker).

A Crewe Alex statement read: "We would like to thank all players for their hard work and dedication.

"To those who will be departing, we wish you all the very best in your future careers."
