Plans to convert old graffitied Crewe shop into new flat
By Ryan Parker 1st Mar 2026
Plans have been put forward to convert a graffitied former Crewe tattoo shop into a new apartment, located on the edge of the town centre.
Applicant, Mr A. Ali, has submitted plans on behalf of 151 Market Street, formerly Eye Candy Tattoo Studio.
Currently, the unit is covered in graffiti, making it an eyesore to local residents and passers-by.
Mr Ali wants to convert the commercial unit, which has been vacant since early 2024 into a residential dwelling.
The new one-bedroom apartment with an en-suite bathroom will include a living room, kitchen, storeroom, lobby and yard area.
Eye Candy Tattoo Studio closed its Market Street premises after seven years in February 2024, when owner Roxie relocated the business to her new home studio.
The fully licensed and registered studio continues to trade successfully to this day, with over 5,000 Facebook followers.
Eye Candy Tattoo Studio also has a 96 per cent recommend score from 317 reviews.
The last date for submitting comments on this application is Wednesday 11 March, with a target decision date of Tuesday 4 April.
