Plans submitted for new electric vehicle charging stations on Crewe food chain car park
Plans have been submitted to install new electric vehicle charging stations on a fast food restaurant chain car park in Crewe - replacing two existing car park spaces.
On Tuesday 7 March, InstaVolt submitted plans to install two new rapid electric vehicle charging stations on McDonald's Car Park, Dunwoody Way.
The UK electric vehicle charging network operator plans to replace two existing McDonald's car park spaces with EV charging bays - along with associated equipment.
If approved, InstaVolt will install extra bollards around the charging bays to protect the equipment.
Tarmac will also be extended within the site boundary to match the existing car park.
The independent tool and plant hire company wants to construct a new building on derelict land next to McDonald's - replacing its existing Earle Street store.
This land has not been occupied for almost a decade - with McDonald's opening in 2015.
P.E.T HIre's new building would be accessed via a short spur road off Dunwoody Way - also serving McDonalds.
The last date for submitting comments for the EV charging stations application is Wednesday 29 March with a target decision date of Tuesday 2 May.
