Plans approved for 25 new apartments in Crewe town centre

Plans to convert old Crewe town centre office space above a closed down clothing shop into new 25 apartments have been given the green light.
Applicant, Mr Matt Peddle, of Premier Living Homes Ltd, had applied for prior approval for a change of use of the first and second floors of Burford House, Prince Albert Street.
Premier Living Homes will transform the former offices into new 25 residential units, with 12 flats on the first floor and 13 on the second floor.
A Cheshire East planning officer said: "The proposal is deemed to adhere with the requirements of Class MA, Schedule two, part three of the Town and Country Planning Order 2025, subject to conditions.

"As such prior approval is not required."
No plans were submitted for the ground floor of Burford House, occupied by Select Fashion until July 2024, with the unit set to remain for commercial use.
Premier Living Homes told Nub News: "We are delighted our plans have been approved at Burford House in Crewe town centre.
"We are very much looking forward to delivering the project. People can take a look at our website to see what we do and what this project will entail.
"The ground floor unit will be marketed for commercial use over the next couple of weeks."
