A man has been banned from several areas of Crewe after Cheshire Police secured a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).

Kenneth Jackson appeared at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 3 June, where he was handed the order following numerous shoplifting offences.

Under the terms of the CBO, the 37-year-old has been banned from Dorothy Flude Retail Park and the Morrisons supermarket, Dunwoody Way.

Kenneth Jackson appeared at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 3 June, where he was handed the CBO, following numerous shoplifting offences in the town (Ryan Parker).

He is also prohibited from being drunk in a public place and must not cause a nuisance on NHS premises, as a patient or otherwise.

If Jackson fails to comply with the CBO, he will be committing a criminal offence.

Inspector Dan Welch, of Crewe Local Policing Unit, said: "We are committed to tackling retail crime and we are doing everything we can to support our local businesses and protect them from offenders like Jackson.

"I hope this CBO also serves as a reminder of our zero-tolerance approach to people causing a nuisance on NHS premises which is not acceptable and causes disruption to not only healthcare workers but other patients.

Kenneth Jackson is prohibited from being drunk in a public place and must not cause a nuisance on NHS premises, as a patient or otherwise (Cheshire Police).

"Orders such as CBOs are one of many tools that allow officers to deter thieves and prevent crime in our communities.

"You too can get involved by telling us the issues that matter to you. You can do this by going to our website."

Anyone who encounters Jackson breaching any of the above restrictions is urged to contact Cheshire Police via the website or call 101, to report it.
