Pizza chain confirms closure of Crewe delivery branch

A struggling pizza chain has confirmed the closure of its Crewe delivery branch to Nub News, ending its 21-year association with the town.

Pizza Hut Delivery, Nantwich Road, ceased trading on 1 July, with local residents unsure of whether it would ever reopen.

This August, a Pizza Hut UK spokesperson told Nub News: "Unfortunately, the Pizza Hut delivery store in Crewe closed on 1 July.

"Customers can still enjoy all their Pizza Hut favourites from our restaurants at Warrington, Winwick Rd, Junction Nine Retail Park or 14 Coliseum Way, Cheshire Oaks.

"We remain committed to serving customers across the wider area."

The closure of Crewe's Pizza Hut Delivery comes after the American chain closed its Dunwoody Way restaurant in Crewe in December 2021.

Taco Bell now operates a drive thru restaurant at the site, which Pizza Hut traded in from 2005.
