Pedestrian taken to hospital after being struck by delivery van in Crewe

A male pedestrian was taken to hospital after being struck by a DPD delivery van in Crewe, suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
On Thursday 27 February, Cheshire Police received reports of a collision on Hungerford Road, close to Morrisons Daily.
At 3.15pm, emergency services arrived at the scene, discovering a DPD delivery van had knocked down a male pedestrian.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital to be assessed, sustaining severe but non-fatal injuries.

A section of Hungerford Road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident. It reopened around 80 minutes later.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 3.15pm on Thursday 27 February, police were called to a collision on Hungerford Road.
"Officers attended the incident which involved a van and a male pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to hospital to be assessed.
"The road reopened around 4.37pm."
