Pedestrian hit by car in West End of Crewe and taken to hospital
A pedestrian was hit by a car in the West End of Crewe and taken to hospital this week - thankfully their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The incident on West Street was reported to Cheshire Police at 3:40pm on Wednesday (June 22).
Police and paramedics immediately attended the scene - temporarily closing the road.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
Cheshire Constabulary confirmed to Crewe Nub News the incident involved a pedestrian and the driver of car.
Today (June 24), a Cheshire Constabulary spokesperson told nub News: "At 3.40pm on Wednesday (June 22), police were called to a collision on West Street in Crewe.
"The collision involved a car and a pedestrian.
"The pedestrian was taken to hospital by ambulance with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening."
Local residents on social media posted that the collision happened by the Bikezone shop and pedestrian crossing on West Street.
This incident happened during a busy traffic period - shortly after children finished from schools for the day.
Cheshire Constabulary is continuing to investigate what happened.
