New shop plans to open at site of former Crewe convenience store chain
A new shop is planning to open until 11pm at the site of a former Crewe McColl's convenience store chain, which has been empty since January this year.
This November, Sydney Express submitted a premises license application to open on Coleridge Way.
Applicant, Mr Sathiyarekha Sabaratnam, seeks permission for the sale and supply of alcohol for consumption off the premises between 6am and 11pm, seven days per week.
The licensing application is on display at the former McColl's store, which permanently closed this January alongside a Post Office inside.
The premises license application reads: "I, Sathiyarekha Sabaratnam, have applied to Cheshire East Council in respect of the premises known as Sydney Express, 77-79 Coleridge Way, Crewe, CW1 5LE.
"A premises licence will provide the following licensable activities: The sale and supply of alcohol for consumption off the premises, Monday to Sunday, 6am to 11pm each day."
Representations to Sydney Express' application shall be made in writing to Cheshire East Council Licensing Section on or before 11 December.
You can also submit your representation by emailing: [email protected].
