Two more Crewe pubs have announced they will open for the funeral service of Queen Elizabeth II - taking place on a UK bank holiday.
Yesterday (September 15), The Imperial pub, Edleston Road, and The Cheese Hall, Earle Street - announced they would be opening for the televised funeral.
The Funeral ceremony of Queen Elizabeth II begins at 11am on Monday (September 19) - now officially declared as a UK bank holiday.
At 2:09pm, the Imperial pub made a Facebook announcement, saying: "Monday 19 September Is the day we all lay to rest our beautiful Queen.
"We can't all be there but we can all be together.
"Our doors will be open from 10am to invite you all in to be with us to watch the service together on all our screens, big and small (all 7).
"The pub will be dressed up, lets all embrace the feeling as if we were there being a part of it.
"Food will be put on for everyone who attends. Cheap drinks, free tea or coffee.
"We hope to see you all on this special day. It's okay not to be okay, but you never have to be alone."
At 3:46pm, The Cheese Hall made a social media announcement, saying: "We will be open on Monday 19 September and paying our final respects to Her Majesty The Queen.
"Everyone is welcome to join us."
On Tuesday (September 13), The Rising Sun Vaults, Earle Street, announced it would be serving free sandwiches and hot drinks alongside the Queen's funeral ceremony.
Landlady Karen Burke Hurley told Nub News: "We have a lot of regulars that rely on us opening. They are on their own - some of their partners have passed away.
"Rather than our regulars staying at home, we will put on some sandwiches for them with tea and coffee.
"This event is not for profit but to make sure people aren't on their own.
"If people want to come and watch the funeral around others they are more than welcome."
