McDonald's is getting closer to opening its third drive-thru restaurant in Crewe, planning to open 24 hours, seven days per week.

In January, McDonald's Restaurants Limited submitted a premises licence application in relation to its new development at The Market Shopping Centre Car Park, West Street.

Work has been going on at the £1.4 million site since October 2023, with McDonald's outbidding Burger King for the car park last April.

Planned for spring 2024 opening, the new drive-thru will become McDonald's most central Crewe restaurant (Ryan Parker).

McDonalds' seeks permission to serve hot food and drink, on and off the premises, between the hours of 11pm and 5pm, Monday to Sunday.

McDonald's licensing application has been placed on scaffolding around The Market Shopping Centre car park development.

The premises license application reads: "Notice is hereby given that McDonald's Restaurants Limited has applied to Cheshire East Council on 23rd January 2024 for the grant of a premises licence to use the premises at McDonald's Restaurants, West Street, Crewe.

"This is for the provision of late night refreshment for the sale of hot food and drink, from 11pm until 5pm, Mondays to Sundays, for consumption on and off the premises.

Representations to McDonald's application shall be made in writing to Cheshire East Council Licensing Section on or before Tuesday 20 February.
