Man taken to hospital following serious collision in Crewe
A man was checked over by paramedics and taken to hospital following a serious road traffic collision - on a busy Crewe road.
The incident on A534 Nantwich Road, close to Miller & Carter, happened at approximately 12:15 yesterday afternoon (September 12).
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and Cheshire Police attended the scene.
The collision involved an Audi and a Mercedes - with both vehicles suffering damage.
A man was given first aid by Crewe firefighters before being handed over to North West Ambulance Service paramedics.
The injuries he sustained in the two-car collision were minor.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "Two vehicles were involved in a road traffic collision on Nantwich Road.
"Nobody was trapped in the incident, however, firefighters gave first aid to one casualty before handing them into the care of the ambulance service.
"Police also attended."
Today (September 13), Cheshire Constabulary confirmed the incident to Crewe Nub News.
A spokesperson said: "At 12.15pm on Monday (September 12), police were informed of a collision on Nantwich Road.
"The collision involved two vehicles – an Audi and a Mercedes.
"One man was attended to by paramedics with injuries believed to be minor."
