Man in hospital after Vauxhall van and Audi collide on local bypass

The male driver of a Vauxhall van is currently being treated in Crewe hospital, following a collision incident with an Audi on a South Cheshire bypass.

On Wednesday 1 November, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident on the A51 Nantwich Bypass, between Sainsburys and Peacock Roundabout, Willaston.

At around 6pm, officers arrived at the scene, discovering a red Vauxhall Combi Van had collided with a Silver Audi A3.

A red Vauxhall Combi Van had collided with a Silver Audi A3 on the A51 Nantwich Bypass, with the van driver taken to Leighton Hospital (Google).

The driver of the van, a man, was injured as a result of the collision.

He was treated by paramedics and rushed to Leighton Hospital.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The A51 between Sainsburys and Peacock Roundabout was closed for around 90 minutes, reopening shortly after 7:30pm.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 6pm on Wednesday 2 November, police were called to a collision on the A51 between Sainsburys and Peacock Roundabout, Willaston.

"Police attended and found the collision involved a red Vauxhall Combi Van and a silver Audi A3.

The A51 between Sainsburys and Peacock Roundabout was closed for around 90 minutes, reopening shortly after 7:30pm (Cheshire Police).

"The driver of the van was injured as a result of the collision.

"He was treated by paramedics and taken to Leighton Hospital, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. 

"The road was closed from Peacocks Roundabout while officers dealt with the incident.

"The scene was cleared shortly after 7.30pm."
