Man denies all charges over death of Joshua Spender after Crewe 'road collision'
A MAN has denied a series of motoring offences in connection with the death of Joshua Spender following a road collision in Crewe last month.
William Bratton, 29, of Riverside Drive, Market Drayton pleaded not guilty to causing the death of Mr Spender by dangerous driving when he appeared at Chester Crown Court earlier this month.
He also denied seven other charges when he appeared for a pre-trial hearing in Chester on December 7.
He pleaded not guilty to aggravated vehicle taking; causing a death by driving while uninsured; causing death by driving while disqualified; being the driver of a vehicle which failed to stop after a road accident; being the driver of a vehicle involved in a road accident; failing to report an accident; and obstructing a constable in the execution of duty.
Bratton's trail date has been set for May 3 next year.
Mr Spender, who was 23, was in collision with a van as he made his way over a pedestrian crossing on Macon Way on November 5.
