A man has been arrested following a police chase through Cheshire.

Jayden Burden, of Laburnum Avenue in Wistaston, has been charged with dangerous driving, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, and failing to stop.

It follows a police pursuit which began in Congleton on Tuesday night, October 14.

The chase came to an end at around 11.50pm, when officers stopped a Seat Ibiza on Cross Lane in Sandbach.

Two men were arrested nearby, with Burden subsequently charged with the aforementioned offences.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Chester Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 16.

Meanwhile, a 29-year-old man who was arrested at the scene has been released on bail.
