Man arrested in Crewe on suspicion of entering UK illegally

A Turkish man, 33, has been arrested in Crewe on suspicion of entering the UK illegally (Crewe Police).

A Middle Eastern man has been arrested in Crewe on suspicion of immigration offences, after entering the UK illegally.

On Wednesday 28 February, Cheshire Police were alerted to a potential illegal immigrant in Crewe.

A male, 33, from Turkey was arrested by officers in the town.

The Turkish man was taken into police custody and has since been transferred to the Immigration Enforcement Agency (Wiki Commons).

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "On Wednesday 28 February, officers from the Roads and Crime Unit arrested a male on suspicion of entering the UK illegally.

"The male, 33, from Turkey, was detained into Cheshire Police custody.

"He was then later transferred to the Immigration Enforcement Agency to continue their investigation."

The Immigration Enforcement Agency are continuing the investigation (Cheshire Police).
