Man, 19, arrested after car crashes into Crewe house

A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences, after a car crashed into a residential property in Crewe.

On Tuesday 20 August, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident on Lime Tree Avenue.

At 12:20am, officers arrived at the scene, discovering a red Ford Fiesta had hit a house.

The man was arrested at the scene of the collision. He has since been released under investigation as enquires continue.

Officers are encouraging witnesses to come forward to assist with the investigation.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 12:20am on Tuesday 20 August, police were called to reports a red Ford Fiesta crashed into a house on Lime Tree Avenue.

"Officers attended and arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of driving offences. He has since been released under investigation as officers continue with their enquiries. 

"Officers are encouraging witnesses to come forward to assist with the investigation.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Cheshire Police via the website, or call 101, quoting: IML 1899002."
