A former Crewe rock and metal nightclub with 2024 approval for apartments and office space is currently listed for sale for just under half a million.

The site of Dante's Rock & Metal Club, 2-4 Gatefield Street, derelict for a decade, has been listed for sale at a guide price of £450,000 by Whitegates.

Plans submitted by applicant, Mr Yates, in 2021 (resubmitted in 2022), for demolition to make way for 13 apartments and ground floor office space was refused in November that year.

Then, following a successful appeal, due to revisions of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), the development was approved this January.

This building, which was also previously a restaurant, pub, British Legion Club and the home of Crewe's first medical officer of health, is now up for grabs with planning consent.

Whitegates say: "We are pleased to introduce this incredible investment opportunity, that presents a former rock and metal club granted planning permission for 13 apartments, one office space, and features five entrances for convenience.

"Additionally, there is a car park included at the rear of the building.

"The property boasts a large cellar that can be utilised as extra space, despite not having permission to build due to head height restrictions.

"It also includes eight reception rooms, three wash rooms, two shower rooms, two kitchens, a bar, and various other amenities.

In January 2024, the Gatefield Street site was approved for demolition to make way for 13 apartments and ground floor office space, following a successful appeal (Yates).

"With its unique history and vast potential, this building is an ideal opportunity for investors looking to capitalise on a versatile property with multiple potential uses.

"Don't miss out on this chance to turn this former club into a lucrative investment venture."

In 2022, 100 Victoria Street and 2-4 Gatefield Street was added to the Crewe Town Council Local Asset Register.
