Major road in Crewe reopens after five months of works

A major road in Crewe has now reopened, following over five months of drainage works.

Moss Lane, Leighton, from Parkers Road to A530 Middlewich Road, reopened on Monday 16 June.

The road, which closed on Monday 8 January, was targeted to reopen by June 2 at the earliest.

Traffic lights will remain at the junction of Moss Lane and Parkers Road until at least Wednesday 3 July (Ryan Parker).

M.V Kelly was employed by a housing developer to install new outfall drainage and rising mains on the road.

This allows Cheshire East Council to install a new foul manhole, as well as creating a connection into an existing storm manhole.
