Major Crewe road reopens southbound following two-week closure

A major Crewe road heading away from the town centre has reopened - after over two weeks of utility repair and maintenance works.

Edleston Road (southbound), reopened at 7am on Wednesday (January 18) - after closing on Wednesday 4 January.

The Crewe road closure started from the junction of Wistaston Road, Oak Street and Edleston Road.

The Crewe road closure started on Wednesday 4 January from the junction of Wistaston Road, Oak Street and Edleston Road (Ryan Parker).

Scottish Power was responsible for the closure of Edleston Road - allowing essential maintenance works to take place.

All bus services heading towards Nantwich Road from Crewe Bus Station were diverted.

Arriva diverting via Vernon Way, Earle Street and Macon Way.

First and D&G bus services diverted via Mill Street.

Scottish Power were responsible for the closure of Edleston Road - allowing essential maintenance works to take place.

All services heading towards Crewe Bus Station were unaffected.
