A popular Crewe tattoo business has relocated from the town centre to another major street - after its property was sold for £175,000.

Studio 78, relocated from Earle Street to Nantwich Road on Monday 12 December.

The fully licensed tattoo and piercing business has moved to a two-storey retail unit at the junction of Nantwich Road and Mill Street/South Street.

Studio 78 tattoo and piercing studio opened on Earle Street back in 2008 (Ryan Parker).

On Tuesday (January 16), Studio 78 had its planning application for a change of use from F.2 retail, to sui genris, for tattooing, approved by Cheshire East Council.

Studio 78 operated without planning approval between December 12 and January 16.

The case officer was satisfied with the development however, saying: "It is considered the proposal is a sustainable development that complies with development plan policy and the NPPF.

"It is therefore recommended for approval subject to conditions."
