Local man in hospital following 'serious' hit-and-run incident by South Cheshire pub
A local man is in hospital following a "serious" hit-and-run incident by a South Cheshire pub, with Cheshire Police appealing for witnesses and video footage.
On Friday 8 September, police were called to reports that a pedestrian had been found injured on London Road, Nantwich, near to the Leopard public house.
At around 9.10pm, officers attended to find 61-year-old local man injured at the side of the road.
The man was taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital, with his condition now described as serious but stable.
It is believed that the man was been hit by an unknown car which failed to stop at the scene.
An investigation into the Nantwich incident is underway, with officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information.
Sergeant of Cheshire Police Roads and Crime Unit, Darren Owen, said: "From our initial enquiries we know that a number of motorists stopped at the scene following the incident and I would urge them to come forward.
"The same goes for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any dashcam or video footage which may aid the investigation."
Anyone with any information or video footage is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML 1640397, or by visiting the website HERE.
