Local man charged following incident at Crewe Railway Station

A Crewe man has been charged with being drunk and disorderly, after barging through a barrier and abusing staff and police at the town's railway station.

On Saturday 13 April, British Transport Police were alerted to an incident at Crewe Railway Station.

At around 5:30pm, officers were deployed to discover a man, 30, had barged through barriers.

The drunk man barged through Crewe Railway Station barriers and was threatening towards rail staff and attending officers (British Transport Police).

The drunk man had also been threatening towards rail staff and was abusive to attending officers.

The man was immediately arrested later charged with the offence.

He is set to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 13 May.

A British Transport Police spokesperson told Nub News: "On Saturday 13 April at around 5.30pm, a 30-year-old man from Crewe was arrested at Crewe Train Station.

The 30-year-old man set to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 13 May (Nub News).

"He was later charged with being drunk and disorderly and is due to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on 13 May."
